Suzanne Brigit Bird "Sue" (born October 16, 1980) is an American professional women's basketball player for the Seattle Storm of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and UMMC Ekaterinburg. In his final year at the University of Connecticut undefeated in 2002, won the Wade Trophy and Naismith Award as college player of the year. He ended his career at the University of Connecticut ranked first in three-point percentage field goal and free throw percentage, second in assists and steals, and as a three-time winner of the Nancy Lieberman Award as the main base in the nation, while leading his team to a record of 114-4. Seattle Storm Bird selected with the first overall pick in the 2002 WNBA draft, and has been seven times All-Star WNBA. She is one of the 9 women to win an Olympic gold medal, an NCAA championship and a WNBA championship. In 2011, he was voted by fans as one of the top 15 WNBA players of all time. Career: The Seattle Storm Bird selected with the first overall pick in the WNBA draft 2002. In his rookie season, Bird started all 32 games of the storm and an average of 14.4 points per game. She was selected as a starter in the 2002 WNBA team Western Conference All-Star. Bird was second for the Rookie of the Year and one of only two rookies to make the All-WNBA first team. He also directed the storm to their first playoff appearance. Since his rookie season that has been selected for the team in the Western Conference All Star.
